Chef Saito, founder and Executive Chef of Kiyomi, brings over 35 years of culinary expertise to Toronto’s food scene. Inspired by the Japanese meaning of "pure heart," Kiyomi reflects Chef Saito's commitment to using the finest ingredients.

Chef Saito began his culinary journey in Japan, working tirelessly as a student to fund his dream of studying abroad. Arriving in Toronto in 1990, he refined his craft, becoming a trailblazer in introducing high-quality, affordable Omakase dining experiences.

One of Chef Saito's most memorable moments was serving former Toronto Blue Jays player Yusei Kikuchi, showcasing his dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience for every guest.

At KIYOMI, Chef Saito takes pride in offering Toronto’s first Tempura Omakase experience, a unique blend of tradition and innovation. His vision and passion continue to redefine Japanese fine dining in Toronto.
